A brand is meant to help your company connect with your target market. Branding is way more than just a tagline or logo. It is the essence, reputation and emotional connection your company will have with a customer or potential customer. The power of social media is continuing to grow and your pages should be branded to build this connection. We will show you how to brand your Facebook tabs with custom branded pictures.
Everyone knows they can update their cover photo and profile photo, but many people do not know that they can update the way some of the tabs look. You want your tabs to reflect the overall brand to further connect with your audience. Not all tabs are customizable. Here is what our current Facebook profile looks like although Facebook may change this in a year or tomorrow. As you can see, our tabs match the look and feel of our logo as well as our cover photo. www.facebook.com/OnTheBeatonPath
To start, you will want to think about the way you want your tabs to look and feel. You can use photoshop or other image creators to build the images you want. Facebook does have guidelines to how big the image can be. The image can only be 111 x 74 pixels and no larger than 5 MB.
Once you have created your tab masterpieces, go to your Facebook profile page and click on the apps arrow to show all your apps.
Next, you will want to go to the specific app you want to work with and click the pencil icon. A drop down menu will appear and you will then click Edit Settings.
The edit menu will pop up. From, here you will click the word Change.
Finally, this will take you to a new page on Facebook, where you can edit the image by clicking on the image.
We hope that you have found this tutorial helpful. It's important to continue to connect with your target market through brand standards whether its on your Facebook page, website, banners, etc.
